Payment of Preschool Fees

Payment of preschool fees to the preschool for the child’s attendance at the preschool shall be made by the parent/guardian monthly, in advance, on the first day of each month (the due date) by standing order. If fees are to be paid weekly a stamped pay-in slip will be required the Friday for the week to be paid in advanced.

Any extra fees accrued throughout the month will be invoiced separately (outings, additional days, etc.).

Should you increase or decrease the number of days your child attends during the year, one month's notice will be required. You will be notified in writing of your revised payments.

The non-payment of fees

It is our policy to pursue all unpaid fees through the County Court for the recovery of the Pre-school’s money.  We aim to ensure financial stability of the Pre-school by having a fair and consistent process for pursuing non-payment of fees.

Procedures

In order to achieve this aim the Pre-school will:

  • At induction fully inform parent/carers of the fee and payment structure of the Pre-school
  • Issue invoices to parents when fees are due. The invoice will give details of the sessions being paid for, the rate being charged, the funded concession and the due date/s.

If a family has used the services provided by the Preschool without payment by the due date/s, or their payment has been dishonoured, the Pre-school will follow the following staged procedure:

  1. Issue an ‘Overdue Account’ letter asking for payment (plus bank charges if applicable) in full within seven days. If payment is received within seven days, no further action will be taken

  2. If payment is not received within seven days, a ‘Second Warning’ letter will be issued asking for either, a payment plan to be agreed or immediate payment in full within seven days plus a £50 administration fee, otherwise the child’s place will be withdrawn.

If payment is received within seven days, no further action will be taken and the child can continue to attend the Pre-school.

  3. If after seven days, full payment or a payment plan agreed by the Pre-school directors has not been received, a 'Final Warning' letter will be issued with the addition of a further £50 administration fee.

The 'Final Warning' letter will ask for full payment within seven days otherwise further action will be taken in the County Court.

At this stage, the child will be unable to attend the Pre-school until full payment is received.

If payment is received within seven days, no further action will be taken.

  4. If payment is not received within seven days, the Pre-school will immediately begin proceedings in the County Court for which we will charge an administration fee of £50 and all Court costs. If a Pre-school representative is required to attend at County Court, costs will be applied at a rate of £20 an hour.
